The project I am working on — during this ongoing, if partial, lockdown — is Chasing Stars, a book that tells the story of French chefs' quest for recognition in the Michelin Red Guide to restaurants in France. It's the culmination of two decades of writing about (and shooting) the food culture of the country. While combing though six years of material and editing the copy, I'm also revisiting photos I made while I was in the restaurants and in the kitchens with the chefs, generally making a nuisance of myself!
Here I present scenes in black and white, from Qui Plume la Lune, in the 11th Arrondissement of Paris.
