I took a stroll in a stretch of desert near to where I am staying; it's a place where the road crosses a desert wash and where an easy trail leads the walker (or rider) up a gentle slope. I ambled along this path for about an hour and took a few pictures to remind me of the day. This is what I saw.
Like other photos from this Palm Springs autumn holiday, I played around with imagining these pictures a bit differently: applying a sort of mid-century filter to some, exploring the shapes of the desert in others by removing the colour.
After leaving the desert trail, I wanted to get some photos to show the texture of the mountainsides, as seen from central Palm Springs, that, to my eye, help define the place.
