This project took me into the kitchens of some of the best restaurants in France to view firrst-hand the daily life of Michelin-starred chefs. I learned about the country's chef training system and how important the Michelin Guide is to the chefs – and, in fact, to the culinary culture of France. Here are some photos of the chefs, the kitchens, and the food in one-star restaurats in Paris, in Burgundy, in Lyon, in Provence, and in Marseilles.
