La Coquillade – Chef Christophe Renaud 
Chasing Stars tells the story of French chefs' quest for Michelin glory. It is the first book to take readers behind the scenes in the Michelin-starred kitchens of France to witness the creation of the dishes that have earned chefs their place in the Michelin Guide.

For some of these chefs, though, the annual release of a new edition of the guide brings not good news, but sorrow, as they learn they have lost their hard-earned accolade. One such chef was Chef Christophe Renaud at La Coquillade in Provence. This photo set was taken when I visited him in better days. Like some of the other work for this project, I occasionally found shooting in the available light (in the kitchens and dimly-lit dining rooms) to be a bit challenging.
